twollars Twollars The New Twitter Thank You Money

I found an interesting new website or Twitter tool if you like, which has a new approach regarding Twitter. The website is located at www.Twollars.com and it had a great idea to make a Twitter game through which you can reward your friends or followers with twollars for any good tweet, answer, help and so on. The money will be turned to charity organisations, according to the official website. Registration is not needed and by default you will have an amount of 50 twollars from which you can reward you community members. Now let’s see a rip of the most important lines from the official F.A.Q.

What are Twollars for? What’s the point of Twollars?

Twollars are designed to reward positive actions. You earn Twollars, when you help someone, or pass on useful information, or share a tip, or give away software, or just write an inspiring Tweet. Do something of value for someone and receive a simple, symbolic recognition – a Twollar.  Write a great Tweet, give a Twitter follower or friend a useful tip, and you receive a Twollar or two in return. (You can even trade your old iPod for Twollars.)

Twollars are designed to help charities right?

Yes. Twollars are a way to convert your positive actions and energy on Twitter into a new social currency that could help others in need. So if you want to, and whenever you like, you can donate your Twollars to a charity, to non-profit, or to an organisation that is devoted to helping others..

So how Twollars coverted into Dollars?

On the Twollars website, businesses or corporations pledge to support a charity. Twitter users then donate their Twollars to the charity’s Twollar fund. When the fund reaches a certain amount say – 10,000, the sponsoring business exchanges the Twollars for dollars and donates 10,000 USD to the charity. The sponsoring businesses gain favourable publicity, recognition and social capital with their contribution.

How do I give or send Twollars to other people?

Its really simple!

  • Just write a Give Twollar Tweet like this: Give 2 Twollars @macwind because he gave me great advice.
  • Or Reward someone with a special Twollar Retweet like this: RT 3 Twollars @esiokant because of his great Tweet.
  • And then you can donate Twollars to a charity like this: Donate 20 Twollars @redcross because of their great work in Africa.

Where can I check my Twollar account?

Just go to Twollars.com and enter your Twitter username. (no registration required) and you will go to your own personal Twollars account page. You can see: Twollars sent, Twollars received, Account balance

How can I get more Twollars?

To get more Twollars you can either Tweet more or help others and get rewarded by other Twitter users. Or, you can stock up on more Twollars, by buying a Twollars T-Shirt. When you buy the shirt you get 30 Twollars credited to your account.

So what benefit do businesses and corporations get when they exchange Twollars for Dollars?

Most businesses spend money on advertising and sponsorship to promote their products and brand names. And many give to charities and needy causes. By exchanging Twollars for dollars for charity they gain attention, social capital and be recognised as a giver and supporter. They a get good name and brand recognition. So everyone wins.
